Dave Lyons, Chairman of Trustees for Opportunities Through Technology said "We are delighted that the Big Lottery has awarded us a grant over the next three years to expand our work into the community around us. We are already working with disabled people in the surrounding area on other projects but the Building Bridges project will allow us to expand our work to those who cannot travel in to our Colchester base. For many, transport is a serious problem, and the obvious answer is for us to go to them so that we can work with them either in groups or in their homes. Our excellent staff have been key in attaining the award, and we thank them. They are eager to begin this expansion of our work"

Opportunities Through Technology is a unique client-centred provider of services to people with impairments, which may be sensory, mobility, cognitive or a combination of these.

OTT staff are experts in enabling technologies. Our clients know what they wish to do with their live in terms of education, employment and importantly, independent living. In this situation the true expert will always be the client. This means that in everything we do training and assessment are done simultaneously. The direction of training will change as the client recognises the extended possibilities that Opportunities Through Technology provides.
